Guia de resposta · Sales
What salespeople post on X, reply angles that get the author talking, six sample post and reply pairs, and the mistakes that look like a pitch.
Sales X is account executives, SDRs, founders doing their own selling and sales leaders posting about cold outreach, discovery calls, pipeline reviews and the deal that almost closed. Many share scripts and templates, and many post the exact email that worked.
Replies matter here because the readers are other sellers, plus the buyers watching them. A reply with a line you have used on a call, or the objection that came back, gets saved and answered. A reply that pitches your own product under someone else's post gets muted.
01
A cold email, an opener, a voicemail, a breakup email. Replies that test it against a real objection do well.
02
The save, the loss, the six-month cycle that ended in silence. Ask about the turning point.
03
"Cold calling is dead", "stop discounting". Room for a counterexample from your segment.
04
Quotas, ramp time, coaching, hiring SDRs. Experience from either side of the one-to-one works.
01
Take their script and reply with the line a buyer actually says back. Then, if you have one, the answer that worked for you.
02
SMB and enterprise buyers behave differently. Saying where the advice fits, or where it falls apart, is specific and useful.
03
One sentence from your own calls or emails, in quotes. Sellers collect these and reply to compare.
04
Most posts stop at the first touch. Ask what the second and third messages said, and when they went out.
05
The "next step: circle back" field, the deal that has been closing this month for five months. Recognisable and harmless.

Cold email that got me the best reply rate of my career: 3 sentences, no links, one question about their hiring page.

the hiring page detail is the part people will skip when they copy this. how long did the research take per email?

Stop asking "is now a good time?" on cold calls. It hands them the exit.

what do you open with instead? "you weren't expecting my call" works for me, but it lands badly with finance buyers for some reason

Lost a deal today after 7 months. Our champion left the company last week.

rough. did you have a second contact who'd been in a meeting, or did it all go through the champion? I ask myself that after every one of these

Hot take: discounting at the end of the quarter trains your buyers to wait for the end of the quarter.
Responder
seen it. what fixed it for us: the end-of-quarter discount only came with a two-year term. buyers stopped waiting once it cost them something

SDR managers: what's the one metric you actually look at every morning?

My follow-up after a ghosted proposal: "Should I close your file?" Works every time.
